Yoga

We have a home!! Warrior Wellness will open it’s studio doors in early December, in the middle of Kilcullen, with loads of parking and lovely teachers to hold the space. Follow the journey and reach out if you have any questiosn. We will be offering a wide range of wellness activites aimed to improve your wellness. Welcome to the community, welcome to the family. 

 

My name is Stephen Bunney and I am a Yoga Teacher from Cork, currently living in Kildare. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training under Lalit Kumar in Himalaya Yoga Valley and have since returned to complete further training under his tutelage. 

I formed WarriorWellness officially in 2023, with the aim to help people to move better physically, feel better mentally and connect more on a personal and community level. I have been practicing yoga since 2015, after suffering an injury to my lower back, and since I started, it has become one of the staples in my lifestyle. My sporting background includes a wide range, from GAA to surfing, weightlifting and calisthenics. I found that my yoga practice has helped me to remain injury free, move pain free, keep my mind quiet and I have made so many friends and connections. This can also be the case for you!

I have been a member of the Irish Defence Forces since 2012, currently serving as a Captain. My yoga classes capture a small bit of everything in my life, whilst remaining challenging, accessible, open to all levels and I would love to see you there. Looking forward to meeting you on the mat!

Why practice yoga?

Yoga has this amazing ability to connect people. It brings like minded people together and can create life long bonds, creating a shared community that promotes growth, shared experience and healing.

Physical

Practicing yoga can have huge positive impacts on your life, helping you to move freely. It can help to improve strength, balance, flexibility, mobility and increase both energy levels and mood.

Mental

Numerous studies have shown that yoga also benefits your mental health, reducing stress levels, improving quality of sleep. It promotes 'me' time, allowing you to connect breath and body to find a certain calm after (or before) a long day

Is WarriorYoga for you?

My classes are for you if you are willing to be challenged, are open to reflection, are strong minded (or want to become strongminded), if you are looking for a new challenge or want to try something new. I fundamentally believe that the human body is strong and capable and I will endeveour to create a safe space to explore it’s capability whilst promising to challenge you along the way. 

If you remain dedicated and focused to you practice, the benefits will transfer across into other aspects of your life such as relationships, general mindset, confidence, sports, injury prevention and so much more!
